It's worth noting that Ontario's 10-day cooling-off period applies to new condominium purchases, not freehold homes, so buyers of freehold townhomes should review their agreement and rely on their own lawyer for cancellation and timing terms.

Because you're buying before or during construction, there's usually a gap between signing and moving in, with the final closing set once the home is complete and ready for occupancy.
