For freehold townhomes, purchasers typically place a deposit staged over time according to the builder's schedule, followed by closing once the home is complete and ready for occupancy. It is worth noting that Ontario's statutory 10-day cooling-off period applies to new condominiums under the Condominium Act and does not apply to freehold homes.
